SATURDAY NIGHT:
We had a super fun outing just the adults for a change. My SIL and BIL hired a sitter for all 4 kids so we were able to go out to town. After 3 weeks of Insanity workouts and nutrition plan just for the night I decided to go with the flow. Even though the night was fine I paid the price big time the next day. Now I know you can't introduce a heavy meal and tons of alcohol to a body that hasn't had any bad food for drinks for 3 weeks. Lesson learned!

SATURDAY DAY:
Went to watch their town's fair and parade. The kids had a blast. The boys played ball in the field for hours after doing the rides....
We were so happy to discover the boy cousins who are only 3 months apart were inseparable the whole weekend. They were always talking and laughing and just getting along so well. My son actually started crying when it was time to leave.  THey will be counting down the days to thanksgiving when we'll be together again....

FRIDAY:
Had a leisurely morning while the cousins went to school and our kids stayed home with us....
Then when they came home we all went to lunch out to town. Back at home the kids finally had a chance to play and dinner at home followed by the play 'Wizard of Oz' which was a Jr Theater and we thought it would be somewhat condensed but my goodness it didn't miss a scene, a song or a dance. It was 3 hours long and the kids were waaaay past their bed time but they loved it.
Everyone slept like a rock that night for sure....

On the Road Again

 We are on our mini family vacation visiting my SIL and her family in San Francisco....

These were taken at the airport yesterday afternoon....

 I wanted an outfit that was comfy but not slouchy. The kika pieces are perfect for such purpose. I also planned to wear some of the pieces couple times so they are very versatile... Plus this cardigan is so comfy and soft perfect for air travel...

Our kids have been on so many trips already. My son has 5 and my daughter has 3 stamps on their passports but somehow my daughter had no recollection of her prior travels so this was like a whole new experience for her. She was fascinated by the airport the tunnel that led to the plane and she watched the security video with so much concentration. When she overlooked the little trifold security pamphlet she turned to me said 'wow we have to do all this stuff in the plane?'!!! It was so cute....

The backpacks hold their ipads and snacks and the little wheeled bags hold their toys. We have never traveled such short distance so always packed for long flights....
